Duke

HR Amber Run’s True Grit, SH – “Duke” is my very handsome, 75lb., yellow male, and is my pride and joy.  He’s an American Field Lab and is currently in training to obtain his titles just like his dad, UH HRCH Amber Run Ten Gauge: http://liberty-pups.com/?page_id=7.  Duke made his way into my heart VERY quickly, and I have never bonded so fast with a pup as I did with him.  Training him was never a problem as he was always wanting to please his mommy.  He has been such a sweetheart from the time I brought him home, and is such a huge part of my family.  I look forward to adding to his page as time goes by.

Duke’s name comes from my love of “old movies”, plus I’m a HUGE John Wayne fan.  One of the “Duke’s” all time classics is the movie True Grit.  So, I thought it was fitting that my boy be named after the “Duke”.  He’s got some big shoes (paws ;)) to fill, but he’s doing a pretty good job.
