Gabby

Liberty’s Meant To Be – “Gabby” is my pretty 60lb., white/yellow female, and I am super excited to be adding her to my lab family.  She’s the granddaughter of my beloved “Sadie” and is also a descendant of Southland Bonnie Blue Belle, MH/Clubmead’s Fine China.  Gabby is EIC & CNM clear, plus her hips, elbows, and eyes have been cleared by the OFA.  Miss Gabby has a sweet story, so please bare with me as I share it with you. 😉

One evening I ran into an old friend (James) who said he had a 6 month old yellow female he was looking to find a home for; he had planned to breed her but decided he was gonna retire instead.  He then asked if I would be interested in taking her, and I said I’d think about it.  I asked him who she was out of and it just so happened she was out of a yellow male he had gotten from me several years prior.  This also meant she would be a granddaughter of my dear, sweet Sadie.  I immediately was intrigued and said I wanted to come by and see her.  We arranged a visit, and upon my arrival I immediately fell in love with her. 🙂  James and his family had been calling her “Gabby” and I had always wanted to name one of my females that, so I put my mind to work trying to come up with a registered name for her.  At the time there was a song playing on the radio by FGL called “Meant To Be” and I had really taken a liking to the song, plus everything surrounding me getting Gabby was lining up perfectly, like it was “Meant To Be.”  So Gabby became Liberty’s Meant To Be. 🙂  She has been a sweet addition to our family and I look forward to her many longs years with us.
